Sneaky Mother Nature

A November Sunrise

​The sunrise this morning was spectacular. Actually, It’s always spectacular but this mornings was a little extra beautiful. I love capturing these morning photos. Not only does it set my soul right each morning, it eventually makes it’s way into my work. 

I never know where Mother Nature will work her way into my knitting.

​While driving along the highway, heading out to our next adventure I’m either knitting, or watching the scenery outside my window whiz by. 

My Faithful Sherpas Cowl

Almost my Faithful Sherpas cowl. But I liked it so much, I kept it.

​I have an iPhone 4S that I purchased about 4-5 years ago and love taking photos with it. I have a large "professional" photo, but most times, I just use my iPhone, simply for the ease of carrying it around.

 I don’t really spend time a lot of time looking thru the memories that I’ve been able to capture. Just point and shoot, then slide my phone back into my back pocket.

​For me riding along in the car is the perfect time to spend with my photos. One ride, a thunderbolt hit me! Not literally, but figuratively. I was amazed by how much Mother Nature has sneaked  into my work. 

The waterfalls in Pescadero made its way into a cowl

​My sister has a house in Pescadero and each Easter we go there to celebration. But mostly we go there for the Easter Egg Hunt! This past year we had about 50 people, crawling all around their property tucked away in the middle of a redwood forest. And most times, we take a hike up to the waterfalls near by. Months later, I knit a cowl. Hey...look at that! So that's where my inspiration came from! 

I woke up one morning wondering why it was so bright outside. Look what happened!
