The view outside my office. Each day when the sun sets, it shines brightly on the Post Office roof next door. And each day, I close my blinds, otherwise I’m blinded by the glare.

Koog aan de Zaan, Netherlands, 1931. This morning, over coffee, I was flipping thru Pinterest and came across this photo. It's a National Geographic article on how two French Men in the 1930's discovered a new way of processing photos.
A spring cowl with a Josefina Fine Knits rosette. I love that when you walk into the store, you are greeted with a smile and an offer of a warm cup of tea. It's not often that stores are so friendly but at Crescent Country you are family, whether Lisa knows you or not.
A cowl made from yak. Super warm and super soft! We don't have cable TV on the boat. We have "rabbit ears" or a digital antenna. We can pick up several channels, including one major broadcast channel, ABC. So when we watch TV on the boat, we watch whatever comes in clearest. And ABC came in the clearest last night.
Love is...everything! It can be frustrating when you drop a stitch. Picking up dropped stitches within a stockinette pattern can be easy, but when you drop stitches on acable pattern, well, what's when I turn to my knit night friends!
I forget...a lot!
Its easy to get bogged down in the muck and mire of every day life. And sometimes, its hard to look up from what we believe is important, and take in our surroundings. |
