It wasn't just water that came out of this pump! I had errands to run before the weekend. (I always have errands to run!) This time they were fun errands! My first stop was at my friend's store, Noelle Hernandez Aesthetics. www.noellehernandezaesthetics.com She has a new line of lipsticks and had ordered a special one for me, Mocha! I know, girly, but I was super excited! ![]() My next stop was Beads of Marin. beadsofmarin.com/home.html I'll be making more Cashmere necklaces in June and I love adding beads and stones to individualize each piece! I was about to head back to the office, when The Boy called. I told him about my pump test run, how the pump wasn't strong enough, and that I was heading to the hardware store to pick up the next size up pump. "Don't do that mom, I have pumps here that you can use!" Such a sweet boy! So I drove over to his house and picked up the pumps. "You don't have to worry about a thing," he said. "these pumps are strong and push anything thru! Even your glitter!" "Hold on, I have one more for you" he said as he ran back into his garden. "You can use this one as a back up!" It was dirtier than the others, but I didn't care. I'll only be using it as a back up. I drove back to my office, worked a few more hours, and then, at 5;00 I was out the door and heading over to meet my Faithful Sherpa. We were going away for the weekend. to the Indian Valley, for the Valley Wide Garage Sale and I couldn't wait to get there. I pulled up just behind his truck, parked the car, and grabbed the door handle to open it, when I looked at the dirty, back up pump in the center console. "eeewwwww," I screamed and jumped out of the car. The center console was filled with earwigs, crawling out from the inside of the pump! Large ones, small ones, babies, they were everywhere! My mind went blank as I stood there, outside of my car, frozen! I reached in, grabbed the plug end of the pump, and carefully pulled it out of the car and dropped it on the ground. Then I started screaming again, hands wiggling, stomping my feet on the ground, eeeeewwwww!!!!! Then I looked back at the center console, and saw about 10 more earwigs crawling around inside the console, on the black tray. So I reached in again, and pulled out the black tray, careful not to let the earwigs fall, and then dropped it on the ground. eewwwwww, I screamed, waving my hands as I, again, started stomping the ground. eewwwwww. What the heck was I going to do with this pump! Are they all out? I don't want to put it back in my car! I banged the pump in the ground for about 10 minutes, trying to be sure everything was out. I'm sure, nothing is going to crawl out of that again, I thought! It took me about 30 minutes to finally calm down! I called The Boy, and told him what happened, he just laughed, a good hard laugh. "I ran the pumps to be sure they were working, I can't believe they stayed in there during that!" I promise you, there won't be earwigs running thru my airline tubing this weekend, only glitter! But come check it out for yourself! makerfaire.com/
