I love each piece I knit, and I'm always so happy when my knitted accessories find their home. But I think out of all of them, this was my favorite! The feather and fan stitch is always so beautiful, and when you mix colors, use smaller gauge yarn, and larger needles, well, that's when the stitch shines. I have no idea how I ended up with this color combination. That's usually how my knitting goes. I always say, its like magic, and the needles seem to select what colors to use! I do know that one of the purples in there is from an auction item that I bid on and won, during the Indian Valley Crab Feed one year bit.ly/2oYbNV6. When we first bought our home in Greenville, CA, I was so excited because not only did we have bookstore, we had a yarn store! In our tiny valley of just 1400 people between 4 towns we had a yarn store!!! Cheryl Flint owned of "A Room Full of Yarn" which was located in one of the back rooms of the bookstore. But, unfortunately the bookstore closed, and "Room Full of Yarn" closed as well. It was a sad, sad day! I can still buy Cheryl's yarn. She has inventory available in several stores throughout the county. And I'm lucky that the local pharmacy has a small corner with her yarn, as well as a few other fiber accessories. When you live in a small rural community, stores carry all sorts of inventory! And I'm glad that Kevin Goss, our local pharmacist and Supervisor, carries yarn! I've always told myself that I should knit something similar, but each piece I create is so unique, that I know it wouldn't look the same. So, I'll just have to create something new and different! Come by this weekend and check out my inventory! I"m sure I have something that you'll fall in love with! I'm in booth number 110, on Castro Street between W. Evelyn Avenue and Villa Street!
