Life on the Couch

Life with a cold has been. . .well. . .challenging, confusing and hilarious!
I blame Vanessa (but not really). See, I had an appointment scheduled for Wednesday to have my hair cut. But we were home last weekend, and I thought, hey, maybe I can change my appointment and have my hair cut earlier!

So I sent a text.

Yeah!
But then the next morning. . .

I should of known something was up when I told her "didn't see it till after 19!" By that point, I noticed that I had a tickle in my throat. "It's nothing" trying to reassure myself. "It's just a sympathy soar throat!."

But I was wrong!

My Faithful Sherpa had planned on working on the boat all day Saturday. "Don't worry, I'll stay out of your hair! I have a long list of errands to run!'
  1. New pipes for the Octopus
  2. Maroon yarn for the new vest
  3. Ribbon for the new vest
  4. Buy Cashmere yarn for necklaces
  5. Stop at the second hand Store for large books for the Vest Dress Form
  6. 2 Extension Cords

See, the list went on and on! But as soon as I got into the car to head out, I noticed I was tired. I didn't want to go anywhere. So I turned around and headed straight for my trailer.

"I'm just going to stay here."

I loved it. It was quiet, I had a nice view (if I looked above the other containers,) and I was protected from the wind.

But by the time made it back down to the boat, late that afternoon, I knew I had been hit with a cold!

I spent the next five days, shuffling to work, then shuffling back home to the couch. I had to keep going to work, I had a lot of projects on my desk, and I couldn't put them off any longer! But my heart wasn't in it,

It was my knitting projects that were the only thing I wanted to work on. It was easy for me, I didn't have to think. my fingers knew just what to do!

Typically, at night, when I head to bed, I spend about 30 minutes either reading on my iPhone, or flipping thru my photos. I knew I must have been feeling better because last night my photos made me laugh out loud!

This is what happens when you accidentally take photos when you are sick. . .you get these randomly weird images.

Like this. . .

and this. . .

and this!

My fingers, obviously didn't "know just what to do" when they were taking these photos. What the heck!

But the more I looked at these photos, inspiration started to pop thru. I wasn't sure if its because I was feeling better, but I began to see these randomly weird images in a different light. It's the colors!

Just look at the colors shining thru!

Well, maybe I still have a foggy head from this cold, but I love the color combinations these random photos have presented! And now that I'm feeling better, I think I'll start knitting these up into something fantastic!
