it was a beautiful drive down the Canyon last Sunday. We left earlier than normal so we could take our time and enjoy the sights. And oh what sights we saw...embarrassing sights!!! We stopped just outside the tunnels. We wanted to see the spillway, since water was gushing! So we pulled over at the at first turnout outside the tunnels. Its beautiful there and the colors are incredible, so vibrant! The first thing I spotted was a heart. I'm always photographing hearts that nature provides. I took it as a good sign. We walked a little further and I spotted this piece of granite covered in lichen. I love the colors, and although you can't see it, the sparkles were incredible!!! We walked a little further and I spotted bear scat but the berries seemed really red. Was the bear just here? What type of berries are those? Wait a minute... They are ladybugs! Beautiful ladybugs! They were everywhere!!! In the grass, on the rocks, everywhere!
But wait...what...wait...what are they... Advert your eyes, my friends advert your eyes!!! We've stumbled upon bunch of ladybugs...well...doing it. Hundreds, and thousands of ladybugs reproducing, right there, in the grass and on the rocks, right along Hwy 70! I didnt know whether to look away, or not but I found it fascinating! And the colors, oh my goodness Mother Nature is always providing us with incredible colorways! Even if it was a little risqué!
