Gather around, my knitting friends, it's another Five on Fridays! Here's where I tell you five fun facts about myself. Ok, here we go. . . Five on Friday 1. I AM FULL. . . I ate so much at Thanksgiving at my sister-in-law's house, that when we left, I they rolled me out their door, into the back seat of my Faithful Sherpa's truck, laid down and rode home. . . horizontally! 2. I still haven't been knitting. . . I really don't know what's the matter with me! I knit all the time, just not lately! 3. I like to get my shopping done early. . . It's such a stressful time. So, I like to get everything done early! In fact, I've already given out half our Christmas gifts! Yes, I'm bragging! 4. I don't have a tattoo. . . I've always wanted one, a nice Tahitian tattoo around my right ankle. (My Grandfather is Tahitian). I even had one designed specifically for me. But I chicken out each time I think about actually walking into a tattoo shop! 5. I am a failure. . . One of the very first knitting projects I created was a blue sleeveless vest for my little sister, Dianne. Except, at the time, I didn't really understand how to pick up the proper amount of stitches for the neck. So when Dianne opened her gift, and tried to put it on, she couldn't fit it over her head! Failure! Good thing I've been practicing since then! This Week in Review Babe, can you drive me to. . . Monday morning I had a doctors appointment, so my wonderful, sweet, Faithful Sherpa drove me to my appointment. It didn't take as long as I thought, so we drove to downtown Larkspur and stopped at Rulli's (www.rulli.com/home) for one of their heavenly pastries. Oh my goodness it was so good. "Do you think, since we're right by the shopping center, we can stop and pick up some Christmas gifts?" I asked as sweetly as I could, batting my not so long eye lashes at him. "It would really help me out!" So we stopped at Sur la table, to pick up a french press carafe for my new office, then walked over to Rite Aid for Christmas gifts, and gift bags. "Do you think, since we are right here, we can stop at BevMo and pick up some bottles of wine for Thanksgiving?" I said as held his hand and gently squeezed it. "It would really help me out!" So we drove to the other side of the freeway to BevMo, to pick up four bottles of wine, and a few other goodies for the holidays. "Do you think, since we are right here, we can stop at Bed, Bath and Beyond, and pick up an electric kettle for my new office?" I said as I gave him a big hug and whispered sweet nothings into his ears. "It would really help me out." I think I pushed him over the edge with the Bed, Bath and Beyond request, because he got on the freeway and headed in the opposite direction, back towards work. Darn The Huntress Cowl Progress Yup, here it is Sam. I've made progress. But according to the second pattern I've purchased, I have to rip out part of this work, and start again. Really, it'll be ready before December, really! Drinks The Tuesday night we went out for drinks at our local watering hole, Smittys, with our friend, Greg. He's the one in the middle, holding that GIANT schooner of beer! I love that his clothes match his choice of drink! He's coordinated like that! Thanksgiving Don't you just love Thanksgiving! Family, food, drinks, knitting., yes, that's right I got my knitting grove back!
i hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving. I know we did!
