Here we are again, Five on Fridays and This Week in Review!
Five on Friday
1. Being the giant that I am (I'm 5' 11"), I've almost always lived in tiny spaces
We used to live in a duplex. Actually for the first 6 years of our married lives we lived in duplexes. But then we decided we wanted to save some money, so we bought a 18' trailer and the three of us lived in 180 square feet! It was so much fun to be able to just hitch up the trailer on the weekend and head out looking for adventures. Then we moved on the boat. We've lived in 250 square feet for almost 22 years. It's gonna be weird living in a 1,650 square foot house, but we're gonna try!
2. I don't mind grey hair!
And thankfully neither does my Faithful Sherpa! Sometimes I feel  like I get more comments on my hair and my booth, than my work, but that's ok. I'm making an impression and hopefully you'll remember me!
3. I love old school music
Old school country music, like Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristopher, Chet Atkins, and Ray Wylie Hubbard. But I also love old school techno, The Chemical Brothers and The Crystal Method. And let me tell you, if you're looking for a good workout album, check out The Crystal Method Vegas (bit.ly/2kE66u1). Now that'll get you up and running on the treadmill!
4. I'm a truck girl!
When I was growing up, my dad owned his own company, ABL Electric. He used to say he chose ABL because it stood for "Always Better Lovin with Lou." But in reality, he wanted to be at the top of the phone list. Anyways, when us girls started driving, we got his hand-me-down trucks. So I learned to drive on a '62 Chevy pick up, with a barn door for a clutch! Then we "upgraded" to 75' Chevy we all called Tank. Man I was cool! (not!)
5. Hacking my way thru knitting.
I've never taken any formal knitting classes, except one. It was my grandmother, Josefina, who taught me to knit. And from then, I just kept experimenting. So, what was the only knitting class I took? A lace class at Bluebird yarns. Boy I miss that place!

My Week in Review
Color Viewfinder

I love the colors of our teak in the cockpit of our boat!

I've been completely obsessed with colorways lately! I have an app on my phone called Color Viewfinder (apple.co/2jb3rYc) which I highly recommend!

It's so much easier to see colorways! The app gives you the color Hex code which you can then use to match colors if you are dying yarns. But what I love about the app is it sees colors I wouldn't expect.

Yup, that's my eye!
Shades of colors I wouldn't think of, And it creates color combinations that I just want to knit up!

This mornings sunrise was spectacular!
Go on, download the app and give it a try. I'm sure you'll love it!
See you at our Next Show

Our very last show of the year is this weekend.

Boooo, I'll miss seeing you all! But it'll be good to have a rest and rejuvenate my creativity!

Be sure to come on up to Napa and say hi! I'd love to see you!
