This was the result of not paying attention! Well, that and a few glasses of wine! If I had only known how to read my stitches! Two years ago, for our 25th anniversary, my Faithful Sherpa and I took a drive in our 1954 Chevy pickup to Unionville, NV and stayed at the Old Pioneer Garden B&B Guest House. (www.oldpioneergarden.com/). This is an incredibly beautiful place to stay! Just look at these lush green gardens! Who would believe this is the Nevada desert in July! As always, I brought along a knitting project, my anniversary shawl. It's a relatively easy eyelet stitch, triangular shawl. The repeats seemed easy enough to me! When we arrived, my wonderful Faithful Sherpa and I shared beers and snacks. Then for dinner we have a delicious steak with a yummy bottle of wine! After dinner, we plugged in a VHS tape (it's all they had) and watched a movie. I happily knitting along on my anniversary shawl, sipping a luscious glass of red wine! In the morning, I picked up my knitting again, but something didn't quite feel right. So I counted my stitches. On one side of my center markers I had 55 stitches, on the other side I had 35 stitches! If only I had paid attention to the project and read my stitches, before I had drinks that day, then I wouldn't have had to rip everything back! Lessons learned, right! Don't let this happen to you! Come learn how to read your knitting! Saturday July 29, 12:30 -3:00 pm Crescent Country on Hwy 89, downtown Crescent Mills, Plumas County RSVP Eva Gorman 415 497 7514 Lunch is included but there won't be beer or wine! Trust me, that'll just contributes to more mistakes!
