Mika, our new waittress
Each Tuesday I stop into Sausalito Nail Salon after work for a manicure, then walk across the terrace to meet my Faithful Sherpa for dinner at Thai Terrace. Pat and Pete own Thai Terrace, and lately they have had family here from Thailand. I was surprised by our new waitress!

I love it when my nails match my project!

Sausalito Nail Salon
I love having my nails done each week. I know it’s a splurge but it’s really my own splurge! Its amazing how beat up my hands get during shows. And each Tuesday, I come back with stubs for fingernails and Sydney and Dao so skillfully put my hands back together! They really are miracle workers!

Heaven
And after each appointment, I walk across the terrace and meet my Faithful Sherpa for dinner at Thai Terrace (www.thaiterracesausalito.com/). Pat is an incredible chef! Her dishes are so tasty and fresh. Everything is good there, so I've been told. See being a creature of habit, we always order the same thing, Spring Rolls, Claypot Chicken, Green Chicken and Rice, a glass of water, a glass of Chardonnay. We don’t even have to order, just come in, sit down and they bring our favorites!

Heaven, again!
So the other night when I meet my Faithful Sherpa, he pre ordered dinner, something completely different.  Yellow Curry with Chicken and Pad Ginger. And we had a new waitress! Mika.

She is quite a talkative 2 year old. The last time she was there, she brought over her Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mashems, handed one to my Faithful Sherpa and kept asking him to play with her. This time, she had a soup bowl, a creamer container and a spoon, and kept pouring me “soup” to drink.

She would talk away, in her own made up language, thoroughly engaged in a conversation with me. Unfortunately I didn’t have a clue what she was saying, but that’s ok. We still had fun. Her parents kept coming over and apologizing for the intrusion. “It’s ok, really, she’s so sweet and fun” we said. "It's amazing, she never talks so much to anyone else!"

“Mika, thank you for the menu, did you want to make my order?”
 “Yeah...adknaia dkna d ndk;ai;vn' aviea ntipa naidnvt."
Mika, this soup is so good. Did you make it?”
 “Yeah...ai;an v ie kd;avbut  ndaiby  tlaydvnit!”
“Thank you Mika. Can we have the bill?”
“Yeah,...ain gaoua  adivniyran aufdvfadnt a3a hgdyayu.”

See, quite the conversationalist!

Nothing better than when our favourite Chinese takeaway gives us our same order over and over again, Chicken chow mein (extra spicy), and duck curry ((extra spicy), and large portion of chips
