Yippee!!! Let's Celebrate!!! It's so weird for me to think about an "artist reception" because I really don't think of myself as an artist. In my head I just knit. Sometimes it's with "normal" materials, sometimes it's with "weird stuff" and sometimes it's with really big yarn! Like these soft, squishy, chunky, hand knit, oversize blankets. They are perfect for cozying up with a good book, and a cup of tea in the cool, early morning hours. These are the latest items created for you by Josefina Fine Knits! I wrote that for the reception announcement. My friend Lisa said "wow, that sounds like a radio ad!" hehe, I guess my friend Judy's radio career stories are starting to rub off on me! I used giant dowls to create these blankets. I wanted to cut the ends into a more traditional knitting needle point, but I was so excited about knitting with them that I didn't, and left the ends blunt.
I've used a variety of materials and colors to create these blankets, some are a tighter knit, some are loose. And one blanket I knit using t-shirts! Now that one was fun to create! I'll have 8 on display at Crescent Country for the reception. Although they all are different, one thing remains the same, they are all super soft and cozy! Join us on Saturday July 8, 3:00 - 5:00 pm at Crescent Country, Hwy 89 Downtown Crescent Mills, CA for the debut of Josefina Fine Knits newest creations and feel the coziness for yourself! (Oops, more "radio talk" right there!) I hope you can make it!
