You know when you sit down with a new project and you are so excited about working on it but now you are hungry and you don't know why, then realize it's 3 hours later and you've lost all track of time? That's what happened when I knit Margaret's shawl! I love it when that happens!

A couple of years ago, the Yarn Craft Council created a campaign and website call Stitch Away Stress. They have a lot of information on a variety of topics but what I found most interesting was their research on the benefits of knitting.
"Does his feet hurt while running thru the forest?" "Tomorrow I'll clean the dining room." "What do you use as a substitute for heavy cream?"
Sometimes I simply want to sit and knit. When I have too much to do at work, I’ll spend five minutes, and knit a couple of rows and my workday stress’ disappear. But sshhh…don’t tell my co-workers.
